FAQS about our COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVES

  • What do you mean by a community?

A Community can be a single or multiple:

    • community or homeland
    • a township or urban area
    • a larger regional area.
  • What can the funding be used for?

We will work with your community to design projects that achieve your development priorities.

A Collective Impact Initiative could include a number of the following projects:

    • Community justice
    • Learning on country
    • Visitor accommodation
    • Community kitchen and meals
    • Cultural tourism product development
  • How much funding is available?

Grant funding amounts will depend on the size, population and location of a community, and the level of collaboration with and funding from external stakeholders.

It is anticipated that funding for large Initiatives will be between $10 million to $15 million, and that the smallest Initiative would be at least $2 million.

  • How many times can my community submit an expression of interest?

There is no limit to the number of times your community can submit an expression of interest. A community can submit an expression of interest every time we open for nominations.

  • When will my community receive funding?

A successful expression of interest does not guarantee grant funding. We will work with your community to design projects and submit an application for grant funding from Aboriginal Investment NT.

  • Is this competitive?

Yes. We will assess your expression of interest against the criteria in the General Guide for Collective Impact Initiatives.

  • How will the expression of interest be assessed?

We will assess your expression of interest against the criteria in the General Guide for Collective Impact Initiatives.

  • What happens when the expression of interest is accepted?

Our Collective Impact team will engage the key contacts identified in your application to start the design phase.
