Round 3 of grants from Aboriginal Investment NT sees more than $5.5m up for grabs
With millions on offer via a ‘simpler, clearer, and more accessible’ process, Aboriginal-run businesses are being encouraged to take a look at this latest round of grants.
Aboriginal-run businesses looking for support in the Northern Territory now have access to millions in grant funding from an organisation using a “simpler, clearer, and more accessible” process.
Aboriginal Investment NT is launching round three of its business grant funding, with more than $5.5 million on offer for new businesses needing a bit of extra help.
New businesses that apply for the grant can get up to $150,000 in start-up funding, with businesses that
have been both successful and unsuccessful in receiving grants encouraged to apply.
However, businesses that received a grant in the current financial year are not eligible.
Aboriginal Investment NT chief executive Nigel Browne called the grants a “key part” of the organisation’s role in assisting First Nations run businesses.
“Aboriginal businesses play a vital role in driving local development, creating jobs, and building opportunities for future generations, and this program is designed to help them continue to grow and flourish,” he said.
“We’ve listened carefully to feedback from past applicants and have made several important changes to make the process simpler, clearer, and more accessible.
“These updates are about ensuring that all applicants can confidently apply and access the support they need. Our focus is on making it easier for Aboriginal business owners in the NT to invest in their growth, expand their operations, and deliver lasting benefits to their communities and Country.”
Round three opens November 17 and will stay open until all available funding has been allocated, the organisation said.
