Congratulations to Aboriginal Investment Group and CSIRO for the launch of their Remote Laundries project Impact Report.

AIG were recipients of Aboriginal Investment NT’s Community Quick Response Grant to fund the launch day, featuring TEABBA and a community BBQ to celebrate the Impact report release.

The positive social outcomes of this report are tangible. Clean clothes lead to better health for the whole community, resulting in better social outcomes.

The program produces over 1,200 machine washes each month across Barunga, Casuarina, Angurugu, Milyakburra and Gunbulunya.

More laundries will come online soon in Yarrawonga, Wurrumiyanga and Yirrkala.

25 Community Quick Response Grants have been approved for up to $20,000 to date. This grant supports one-off projects in urban, regional and remote Aboriginal communities and homelands in the NT.
