purchase a work truck and equipment trailer to improve the business’s ability to safely transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites across the Northern Territory. As a carpentry and construction business operating in both urban and remote locations, reliable transport is essential for delivering work efficiently and safely.

The truck will allow Kemarre Construction to transport longer and bulkier building materials, such as roof sheeting and timber lengths, which are commonly required for construction and maintenance projects. The equipment trailer will provide dedicated space for tools and equipment, ensuring they are securely stored and transported between jobs.

Having the right transport will reduce reliance on third-party delivery services and remove the need to work around external delivery schedules. It will also improve safety by ensuring materials and equipment are transported within appropriate weight limits and secured correctly during travel.

This increased capacity will allow the business to mobilise more efficiently, manage multiple jobs at the same time, and create the opportunity to run two work crews when required. This project will strengthen Kemarre Construction’s ability to take on more work across the NT, particularly in remote communities.

support the expansion of AAA Energy & Air NT Pty Ltd, an Aboriginal-owned electrical and air-conditioning business proudly operated by Territorians.

Grant funding will be used to purchase a fully equipped work vehicle (including professional signage and first-year vehicle insurance), trading stock (including air-conditioning units and electrical materials), and wage support to transition director, Chiarah Koops, into a formal part-time operational role.

The additional vehicle will allow us to safely and efficiently transport staff, tools, equipment and materials between job sites across Darwin and surrounding areas, increasing the number of jobs we can complete each week. Vehicle insurance ensures the asset can be fully operational and compliant from day one. Holding essential trading stock will reduce delays caused by supplier wait times and allow us to respond more quickly to customer needs.

Wage support will provide structured financial stability during this transition, enabling the Director to dedicate focused time to business operations, administration, compliance and coordination as demand increases.

establish and launch of Anderson Plumbing NT, a locally owned Aboriginal plumbing business. The funding will be used to set up the business as a fully operational, professional plumbing service, including essential tools, equipment, and a work vehicle as a complete operational package.

Funding will also support professional branding, uniforms, vehicle signage, website development, public liability insurance, licences and certifications, and business systems such as accounting, invoicing, and job management software. Computers, iPads, phones, software subscriptions, maintenance, cleaning, and travel or accommodation for remote work will also be covered.

This investment will give Anderson Plumbing NT the systems, equipment, and professional presentation needed to operate efficiently, secure customers quickly, and establish a sustainable, thriving business within the Darwin and NT community. It will also allow the business to build strong community connections and in the future provide future employment, mentoring, and training opportunities for Aboriginal youth in the local area.

support business maturity development by procuring key equipment needed to support and expand business service delivery. This includes website development so BMAC’s services can be advertised. This funding is also needed to support wages for essential activities during this start-up phase.

This funding will allow BMAC to fund start-up costs to establish the business during these early stages of growth, and secure contracts for service. If BMAC can achieve long term agreements with DCCEEW and become the supplier of choice for KNP, then the company will become a self-sustaining and profitable business, which will support the long-term economic growth and self-sustainment of a local, engaged and skilled Indigenous workforce.

BMAC developed the business model to directly address a friction point for local labourers. Where there is an expectation for access to reliable and timely pay for services rendered, and this funding will help meet those needs faster. By funding this project, Aboriginal Investments NT will help to further establish the ownership and economic self-governance of Kakadu Traditional Owners.

focus on strengthening the operational foundations of IB Plumbing so the business can operate more efficiently, safely, and profitably while expanding income-generating capacity. Funding will be used to upgrade essential equipment and establish fit-for-purpose business infrastructure at the registered business address.

Specialised equipment, including a drain jetter, rigid drain machine, and welder, will enable the business to undertake sewer cleaning, inspections, rectification works, and minor fabrication in-house, creating new service offerings and additional revenue streams.

Funding will also support the construction of a secure shed to house equipment and materials, and to provide dedicated space for job preparation, equipment repairs, and routine maintenance. This will improve productivity, reduce delays between jobs, and increase billable hours.
