I aim to offer services at local events, sporting matches, cultural festivals, and private sessions, including in rural communities. I will also introduce newborn photography, including a “come to you” hospital option to help families capture those precious first moments.

A key initiative will be a NAIDOC Week project, where community members can receive five free family photos using artist-designed backdrops and a set with Aboriginal art pieces. This will celebrate cultural identity and provide accessible, meaningful imagery for families who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

The funding will also support social media campaigns and marketing, as well as the creation of online galleries and educational content. As a proud Larrakia woman and mother, I understand the importance of preserving memories and building visibility. My goal is to offer professional, respectful, and affordable photography that captures community stories and connects people through shared experiences.

purchase a 170hp commercial woodchipper and a 3.5+ tonne tipper truck. The woodchipper will significantly improve our ability to process tree debris efficiently, allowing us to take on larger, more complex tree lopping and stump removal projects. With increased power and capacity, it will provide faster, more effective services, reducing clean-up and disposal time, and boosting overall productivity. This will enable us to pursue larger contracts, particularly with commercial clients, government organisations, and the Defence sector.

The tipper truck will complement the chipper by reliably transporting debris to disposal sites, while also enhancing our emergency storm response capacity for large-scale tree removal jobs.

Currently, we are unable to fully engage in opportunities through Supply Nation for Local Council, Government, and Defence tenders due to non-compliant resources, such as outdated equipment and vehicles. Investing in this equipment will bring us into compliance with industry standards and expand our capacity to participate in these tenders, supporting long-term business growth and sustainability.

Additionally, we seek to upgrade our outdated computer with a new laptop, including small business software package, for office and on-site use, and to enhance our website for improved functionality and more professional business representation.

Funding will enable the purchase of essential business assets and support safe, professional service delivery across the Northern Territory, including regional and remote communities.

We also seek funding to develop a professional website, an essential tool, as 75-90% of clients search online for event and production services. Our website will showcase our branding, capabilities, and services, with online contact and booking features.

purchase and customise a second tow truck (2018 Hino 500 Series FE) to address our current operational limitations. With only one truck, we’re experiencing capacity constraints that prevent us from meeting growing market demand and expanding our service capabilities.

establish itself as the only Tiwi-owned social enterprise solely focused on delivering culturally grounded youth services on the Tiwi Islands. Our mission is to empower local youth through meaningful, community-led programs that strengthen identity, resilience, and leadership.

Grant funding will support key operational needs essential for our sustainability and impact. We aim to secure a dedicated office space in Milikapiti, providing a central hub for coordination, planning, and youth engagement. This includes covering rental and utility costs. Additionally, we will purchase basic office equipment such as vehicle with a trailer, a computer, desks, and communication tools to ensure efficient service delivery.

To build local capacity, we will employ Tiwi staff and offer fair wages, supporting community employment while ensuring culturally appropriate guidance for our programs. Funding will also contribute toward acquiring or leasing a vehicle to safely transport staff and youth, enabling delivery of on-Country sessions and community outreach across the islands.

This foundational investment will allow Jipungwayi to establish a strong, sustainable presence and expand its reach, ensuring Tiwi youth have consistent access to programs that support their personal growth, cultural connection, and long-term wellbeing.

establish First Nations and Pacific Care Pty Ltd (FNPIC) as a culturally safe, community-led NDIS provider in the Northern Territory. The funds will cover critical start-up costs including:

Office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and furniture.
‍
Insurance, website development, and software subscriptions (e.g. MYOB and ShiftCare).

Wages for at least two support workers to deliver immediate services.

This funding will allow us to begin operations with the necessary infrastructure, systems, and staffing to provide high-quality care from day one. It will also support compliance with NDIS registration requirements and build capacity for sustainable growth.

To date, the Directors and their families have contributed over $30,000 of their own funds and continue to provide in-kind support to ensure the success of FNPIC. The grant will directly support service delivery for vulnerable participants and ensure a strong foundation for a long-term, community-focused NDIS provider.

I will cover the cost of the business insurance (to keep grant funding below 100K but have attached the quote) and I have already covered the costs (past and on-going) to acquire the accreditation, licenses, business registration, domain and other requirements to start the business.
