expand my photography business to enable me to be a more community-focused business, servicing families, individuals, and organisations across rural and regional areas. This funding will allow me to invest in upgraded camera equipment, mobile studio gear, and an online booking system, making professional photography more accessible and inclusive.

I aim to offer services at local events, sporting matches, cultural festivals, and private sessions, including in rural communities. I will also introduce newborn photography, including a “come to you” hospital option to help families capture those precious first moments.

A key initiative will be a NAIDOC Week project, where community members can receive five free family photos using artist-designed backdrops and a set with Aboriginal art pieces. This will celebrate cultural identity and provide accessible, meaningful imagery for families who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

purchase a 170hp commercial woodchipper and a 3.5+ tonne tipper truck. The woodchipper will significantly improve our ability to process tree debris efficiently, allowing us to take on larger, more complex tree lopping and stump removal projects. With increased power and capacity, it will provide faster, more effective services, reducing clean-up and disposal time, and boosting overall productivity. This will enable us to pursue larger contracts, particularly with commercial clients, government organisations, and the Defence sector.

The tipper truck will complement the chipper by reliably transporting debris to disposal sites, while also enhancing our emergency storm response capacity for large-scale tree removal jobs.

Currently, we are unable to fully engage in opportunities through Supply Nation for Local Council, Government, and Defence tenders due to non-compliant resources, such as outdated equipment and vehicles. Investing in this equipment will bring us into compliance with industry standards and expand our capacity to participate in these tenders, supporting long-term business growth and sustainability.

Additionally, we seek to upgrade our outdated computer with a new laptop, including small business software package, for office and on-site use, and to enhance our website for improved functionality and more professional business representation.

establish itself as the only Tiwi-owned social enterprise solely focused on delivering culturally grounded youth services on the Tiwi Islands. Our mission is to empower local youth through meaningful, community-led programs that strengthen identity, resilience, and leadership.

We aim to secure a dedicated office space in Milikapiti, providing a central hub for coordination, planning, and youth engagement. This includes covering rental and utility costs. Additionally, we will purchase basic office equipment such as vehicle with a trailer, a computer, desks, and communication tools to ensure efficient service delivery.

To build local capacity, we will employ Tiwi staff and offer fair wages, supporting community employment while ensuring culturally appropriate guidance for our programs. establish First Nations and Pacific Care Pty Ltd (FNPIC) as a culturally safe, community-led NDIS provider in the Northern Territory. The funds will cover critical start-up costs including:

Insurance, website development, and software subscriptions (e.g. MYOB and ShiftCare).

Wages for at least two support workers to deliver immediate services.

This funding will allow us to begin operations with the necessary infrastructure, systems, and staffing to provide high-quality care from day one. It will also support compliance with NDIS registration requirements and build capacity for sustainable growth.

To date, the Directors and their families have contributed over $30,000 of their own funds and continue to provide in-kind support to ensure the success of FNPIC. The grant will directly support service delivery for vulnerable participants and ensure a strong foundation for a long-term, community-focused NDIS provider.
