purchase the therapy rooms at Raffles Plaza where I currently rent one space out of 4 offices in suite 3. At present, I share this room with my Clinical Masters student, which significantly limits availability and creates scheduling conflicts. As a result, I am forced to take on additional outreach work to meet client needs, reducing efficiency and time spent delivering care from a central, safe, and culturally grounded space.

The current owner of suite 3, is supportive of Aboriginal-led healing and has offered all rooms at fair market value to allow me the opportunity to grow Healing Circle Mob into a full-time practice hub. However, high rental costs make it financially unviable to expand under the current lease model.

Owning the space would allow for expanded service delivery including supervision, group therapy, and professional training while embedding trauma-informed, culturally safe, neurodevelopmentally affirming care. This expansion would improve access for Aboriginal families, reduce wait times, and create opportunities for Aboriginal employment and training.

The grant would enable Healing Circle Mob to scale sustainably, reduce overheads, and become a self-sufficient, community-led practice that supports vulnerable clients and grows the Territory’s Aboriginal mental health workforce.

Specifically, I will acquire a high-quality mobile phone for marketing and communication and upgrade my website for enhanced online presence. Additionally, I will purchase a laptop and iPad to improve productivity and cover my wages. By securing a wage for myself, I will be able to dedicate more time and effort to developing the business, allowing it to thrive and serve customers effectively. This strategic investment will enable my business to operate efficiently and capture new opportunities in the market.

support the business growth of Native Bird Media as we scale to meet increasing demand from clients across the NT. I am currently delivering a range of projects—including video production, media strategy, and digital content—for organisations Aboriginal organisations/NFPs.

The business is attracting more clients in its current 11 months of trading, which presents exciting growth opportunities. However, to take on these projects sustainably, I need support & build internal capacity and invest in essential fixed assets such as office equipment, video gear, and create a wider clientele base through media and advertising. Video and editing equipment is vital to avoid outsourcing and hiring equipment from third parties, which is expensive. This funding will also help cover professional services like legal, accounting, and branding to support long-term business viability.

The grant will assist in creating employment for Aboriginal people. By hiring a junior media officer, I can provide mentoring and grow the workforce as the business expands. With the right support, NBM will increase revenue, secure larger contracts, become a leading Indigenous-led media provider across the region and create more Aboriginal jobs.

I aim to meet forecasts with this grant over the next 18 months.

purchase a waste disposal truck, essential for launching Larrakia Waste Collection. This truck will enable us to provide vital waste management services to Aboriginal communities, starting with Minmarama and Kulaluk communities, where waste is not regularly managed. We have secured strong commitment and support for this work (see support letter from QP attached).

Beyond the truck purchase, the funding will help establish the necessary infrastructure, including insurance, permits, and compliance documentation for safe and lawful operations. It also includes support for wages during the start up phase. This project is more than just a business – it directly addresses local waste management challenges in our communities, and creates employment opportunities for our people.

With support from local councils and community organisations (i.e. LNAC and LDC), Larrakia Waste Collection aims to build a sustainable business model, that cares for country and improves community health and well-being. The funding will allow us to contribute to the long-term sustainability and economic growth of the communities we serve, improving waste management and creating jobs. Through this grant, Larrakia Waste Collection will play a vital role in addressing local challenges and enhancing the well-being of these communities.

move/relocate our own contract mustering equipment (bull catchers, unregistered body trucks and motor bikes) to and from jobs. This unit would also be used to haul general freight (i.e. hay and cattle feed) for potential customers within our area. These customers include KTF Contracting & Livestock Haulage as well as Adelaide River Fodder. Territory Ferals will work on a 70/30 ratio with KTF – meaning, all jobs the Territory Ferals prime mover is used on Territory Ferals will receive 70% of the client invoice total and KTF will receive 30% of the client invoice total. Amounts will vary depending on which job is being undertaken. KTF will receive 30% as they are responsible for registration, repairs and maintenance on the trailers. While Territory Ferals are responsible for repairs, maintenance and registration on the prime mover.

purchase a mini excavator and attachments. The mini excavator would be used to carry out building works such as the preparation of building sites, including building pads and footings and installing utility lines. It will be used for all types of excavation work including digging, demolition and material handling tasks.

Currently any site preparation requires the hire of machinery, which increases project costs. A mini excavator purchase would eliminate our need to rely on outsourcing equipment from hire companies, increasing our business efficiency, providing cost savings and potentially creating new service offerings and income streams. This equipment purchase will also be used to provide onsite training and development for future employees.

The purchase of a mini excavator would kick-start significant growth, development and employment for our young Aboriginal business. This investment would help us to kick-start business expansion and job creation.

support Absolute Signage NT’s continued growth and ability to meet increasing demand across the Northern Territory. Since launching in 2018, we have established a fully operational manufacturing facility backed by over 30 years of industry experience and a strong commitment to WHS and quality standards.

To support our next growth phase, we plan to invest in a vinyl cutter and guillotine to expand production capacity and handle complex vinyl designs and construction-grade materials like ACPanel and Colorbond. We also aim to purchase a delivery vehicle to support in-house logistics and create a dedicated delivery driver role, with a focus on Aboriginal employment.

While we currently rely on our sister company for some support, our long-term goal is to become fully self-sustainable—both financially and operationally—so we no longer need to depend on external resources to meet demand. These investments will strengthen our business model, diversify our services, and create meaningful local jobs—ensuring Absolute Signage NT continues to grow competitively and independently across the Territory.

scale Kaytej Mining and Civil Construction by expanding our operations and enhancing our service offerings. This includes investing in advanced machinery, technology, and training to improve operational efficiency and safety across mining and civil construction projects. Additionally, the funding will support workforce development by increasing employment opportunities for Aboriginal Territorians, offering skill development programs, and fostering career progression within the business.

A key priority is to strengthen our business’s sustainability and growth through strategic partnerships, particularly with other Aboriginal-owned businesses, thereby supporting local Aboriginal economic ecosystems. We will also invest in establishing robust community engagement practices to ensure cultural alignment with local stakeholders, promoting social and cultural inclusivity.

The grant will enable us to refine and implement new systems, such as quality management, that will enhance project delivery and client satisfaction while ensuring compliance with industry standards. By investing in these initiatives, Kaytej Mining and Civil Construction will be better positioned for long-term viability, offering scalable solutions and creating a positive impact on the local Aboriginal community through both direct employment and subcontracting opportunities.

The addition of a for-purpose cylindrical UV printer will increase efficiency. KSA will continue to print jewellery, awards and other flat items on the flat bed printer, the cylindrical will take the print time per bottle from 25 minutes to 3 minutes.

Growth into the DTF (direct to film) printing will allow for KSA to offer on demand production of a variety of fashion items. T-shirts, tote bags, denim etc. The customer can bring their own designs or select from my artworks. The DTF products will be wholesaled by KSA also.

The DTF service will also operate out of a trailer – this will be utilised in small group workshops, markets and festivals. The set up will have a printer and heat press as well as iPads for the creation of artworks. It will be a retail POS in a market/festival atmosphere. Where a buyer can select a variety of pre-printed artworks and have them pressed onto an item while they wait.

The funding will also help to grow the textiles wholesaling with greater amounts of trading stock on hand which currently restricts business.
